The law firm of Younce, Vtipil, Baznik & Banks, P.A., is proud to be a sponsor of CORRAL Riding Academy’s upcoming Derby dinner gala. It’s a fun event with bow ties and Derby-style hats that has a serious focus.

CORRAL is a Christian nonprofit organization based in Wake County that pairs rescued horses with at-risk girls to try make a big impact in their lives. CORRAL Riding Academy seeks to guide girls in high-risk situations through the difficult middle school and high school years and help them develop the social skills and self-confidence to succeed —in college and in life.

About the Derby Dinner Gala

The dinner is an annual fundraiser held on the weekend of the Kentucky Derby. This year’s Derby dinner gala is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 3 at Talley Student Union at N.C. State University.

Through the Derby dinner, CORRAL Riding Academy seeks to attract new people to the CORRAL fold and enlist support in a cause that is vitally important to the young people of our community. CORRAL’s Life-Changing Mission

CORRAL is built on the belief that a horse can touch the heart of a teenage girl is a way that other interventions cannot. Working with a horse can enable girls to address hurt and trauma and have a profound effect on their lives as they develop the emotional intelligence to work with a horse in a productive manner. The CORRAL program includes equine-assisted psychotherapy, academic tutoring and mentorship.

CORRAL has made a positive impact in the lives of more than 220 girls since 2008 and aims to transform the lives of 500 girls in the next five years. It needs community support to achieve its worthy goal of transforming lives.
