
RALEIGH, NC – A motorist was killed in a pickup truck accident in Raleigh on Saturday morning, CBS17 reported.
The single-vehicle crash occurred in the vicinity of Poole Road and Riverview Road at about 7 a.m. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol stated that the driver of a Dodge Ram was heading west on Poole Road and went off the roadway. The vehicle struck a bridge and plunged into the Neuse River. The driver, reported to be a 65-year-old man, was found dead by first responders. His name was not immediately released.
An investigation is continuing to determine what led to the fatal wreck.
