Ross Weatherspoon joined Younce, Vtipil, Baznik & Banks, P.A. in 2019 and he represents English and Spanish-speaking clients in workers’ compensation and personal injury cases. As a lawyer who communicates effectively in Spanish, Ross takes great pride in representing the interests of his Spanish-speaking clients and ensuring they understand their rights and entitlements under the law.
Prior to working as a lawyer, Ross worked as a duly sworn police officer in North Carolina and gained invaluable life experience working with prosecutors, defense attorneys, criminally accused individuals, witnesses, and interested members of the community. As a police officer, Ross worked in a very busy area of Raleigh, he served as a Spanish translator and earned several awards for his proactivity.
Ross earned a Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University and a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law. While in law school, Ross was a dedicated student and earned a full-tuition scholarship. As a law student, Ross worked as Senior Editor for the North Carolina Central Law Review and also worked as paid tutor and helped younger students prepare for their exams. Upon finishing law school, Ross graduated summa cum laude.
In his free time, Ross enjoys spending time with his family. Ross and his family especially love hiking in the North Carolina Mountains, camping, and exploring the many local state parks.
