
RALEIGH, NC – A driver who was fleeing from a traffic stop on Thursday afternoon crashed into a home in Raleigh, police said.
According to ABC11, the incident began shortly after 2 p.m. when police tried to stop a vehicle in which one of the occupants was wanted for armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. The driver fled from the officers and drove a short distance, then crashed into the garage of a home in the 4300 block of Futura Lane. The car accident caused a gas line in the house to rupture. Two people inside the home at the time were not injured.
Police subsequently apprehended the driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Kamari Patterson, who will be charged with flee to elude. Patterson and his four juvenile passengers were not injured. All of the passengers were also taken into custody.
